Default Please I.D. the front and rear end Tags.

I am wanting to change my rear and front in diff fluid this week. Can anyone identify these tags and recommend the best fluid to use and if I need a friction modifier or not. I have noticed a low sounding clunk in the front end when turning right or left at low speeds. I also have noticed a high pitched whine in the rear end when making gradual turns at higher speeds of 45-70mph. I am going to check the rear calipers now to make sure they are not sticking. Any thoughts?

clunks = no good. its 410 gears. just go to your local auto store and buy gear oil.

Only thing I can say about tags is you have 4.10 gears. Your owners manual should tell you the proper fluid and weather or not you need any additive. Clunking when you turn is probably u joints in front axles gettin bad.

clunking in the front end with hubs locked in or out? mine did this with the hubs locked in and everyone said u joints and we tore it all apart to find out they were fine...rear end, we been running lucas sythetic and a friction modifier from ford. call them. randys ring and pinion recomends redline oil (thats in one of the trucks we have) and there modifier which the guy told me was ford, just relabeled. is there any side to side or fwd and back play at the rearend yoke? pull your fill plug and see if there is lots of metal shavings on the magnetic plug.

yeah the clunk is most likely engaged, my hubs hang up from time to time and makes it sound kinda rough when turning sharp while rolling.
