Fuel leaks aren't something that are easy to diagnose over the internet. Is it enough of a leak to drop to the ground? Or is it just wet in the valley?

Also, moving this thread to the correct section... Welcome to Diesel Bombers!

could be orings or fuel pump leaking, i would pull the full bowl out and replace the orings and see if that helps

Could be the bowl, could be the pump, could be the lines, could be the fittings on the head... Take some time and go through all this with a flashlight. Maybe get some brake cleaner to help dry up whats in the valley and get to searching...

My 97 would leave a big puddle of fuel every time i parked it. It would run down the back of the motor and drip off the inspection plate on the transmission. There is a cone shape filter on the right side of the fuel bowl that i believe is the water in fuel sensor? Correct me if I am wrong. It had gone bad and was leaking out the end where the wire connects. Bought a new one from ford for around 60 bucks and it was fixed. Take brake cleaner and clean up all the diesel in the valley and then start the truck and really look for leaks. Make sure to check that sensor over good.
