how long are the 7.3s suppose to last cuz im looking at one with 270xxx miles

some say 400,000 before rebuild.could be more

just take care of them and they'll run forever. there is a mileage thread on here just for the 7.3.

Mine had 300,000 when I traded it in, besides injector orings it was running strong

if you keep real good care of them ive heard of a guy in northwest missouri that has a 96 and its got over 600k on it so they last a long time

You just need to realize that it is not new... You will need to replace parts at some point. I would do a compression test on something with that many miles...

A buddy of mine has a 97 7.3 with 650k he doesn't even heasitate to take a trip to Florida in it
