Default 97 F-250 front end issue Need Help

I found a 97 F-250 7.3L for sale for 1700 but the guy says the front end "slaps from side to side" when you hit a bump. What's wrong with it, what does it take to fix it and a ballpark figure on cost to fix it? If is something that I can do, I might try to get the truck. He didn't have much info in the ad but if you need more info I can try to get a hold of him and find out more. I've never heard this particular description before so I don't have a clue as to what could be wrong. Thanks.

I would definitely try to hit the guy up for some more info or symptoms with the front end. Sounds ball joint related. More info should help the boys on here figure it out

I sent a text message to the guy(that's how he wanted you to contact him) and never got any response. Ads gone now too. Not quite so lucky this time. Oh well, there's others out there.

i have a 94 f 250. i put a solid axle under it and when i hit a bump the wheels would jog left and right uncontrolably. it endend up being the track bar and tie rods. it could be ball joints too.
