Default Glow plug relay wiring

Hello I have a 1995 ford f350 7.3l. M glow plug relay was bad so I replaced it. But the glow plugs are staying on while the engine is running. Is this supposed to happen. And also what does the (S) and (I) stand for on the small terminals?

They stay on some after it is running but should kick off after a minute or 2.

Ok. Is wiring a manual switch to the relay a good idea. So they are not coming on all the time?
