i wouldnt do it.
if i was you,i'd hit up cobbs diesel performance and get the egr block off plates
but you will also need a custom tuner, so it dont set any codes -

at this time i dont believe that there are many options here.....Elite diesel carries a full EGR delete with external waste gate, but its spendy and requires taking off you cab....if you dont have a LIFT availible to you your kinda guna have to send the whole truck down to them for the work to be done.........you can shut the EGR off with a tune, although all this does is keep the valve shut or open and does not actually delete anything......i run mine all the time with with both the EGR and DPF deletes in my tunes and love the performance that i get.....give River City Diesel a call, they will hook you up fo sho.............................

The eleite full delete can be done cab on, and a cheaper route would be to do the cobbs block off plates and then get some coolant hose of the same size and reroute the coolant lines so you can full remove the coolers. I'm planning on doing this soon and I will do a write up on it when its done. -
