Default 2008 6.4L F350

Hello to all,

I am new to this forum and am fairly new to the Diesel Performance world.

I have a 6.4L Turbo Diesel. I have already installed the Banks Air Intake, Banks Monster Duals and a BullyDog PMT. My truck continues to go into re-gen mode and consequently my fuel mileage is horrible. I guess it is time to install a DPF Delete kit but I have no idea what will work well with the BullyDog PMT and not throw engines codes constantly. From what I understand the BullyDog is giving me more power but forcing Re-Gen mode way to often consiquently killing my fuel mileage as well as creating a lot of soot. I am looking for any help that will help me delete the DPF and the CAT. The Banks is a 4 inch system and from what I understand the stock down tube in my truck is 4 inch. I am looking for a quality DPF Kit that will eliminate the DPF and Cat with a sensor that will tell the truck Re-Gen is not necessary and will also cooperate nicely with the BullyDog PMT.

Thanks for any advice.: -

I may be wrong here but, I dont think bully dog has the tune yet for the dpf delete. I remember hearing somewhere that edge and smarty are the only one on board so far. I hope I am wrong. I am certain though that they dont do it for the bullydog GT. My buddy learned the hard way. -

Emulator doesn't gain you power or mileage, but they claim it works with the bullydog.

From what I understand, Ford is developing a workaround for the DPF-R, so it won't work. -

Hey Big,

What can I do to improve fuel mileage in my 08'/450/6.4/2wd? I do "a lot" of towing and weigh around 25,000lbs, truck/trailer. Any suggestions?

Thank you -

DPF delete is the quickest way to do it - how many miles are on your unit and do you travel far from a dealer that is modification friendly? Hard to bolt your DPF and shit back on in a parking lot when the truck has an issue out on the road. -

25,000 miles. I would say the dealer is 15 miles away(not sure if friendly towards mods). I've been having issues with the truck and would like to just get out of it at this time. But if there are modifications that can "open" this thing up to perform better and stay in AZ emission guidelines, I'm all for it. -

Fuel filters are glogging constantly, some surging/loss of power(I think fuel filter related), low fuel mileage, and Regen is always on.

Truck just went to the dealer today and spoke to a mechanic who is not happy about his 450 also(fuel mileage related). I mean c'mon, when your own employees aren't happy with your product.........

I would like to do the Delete Kit/Spartan Kit combo and hope my fuel troubles go away. Truck is used for my business and is costing me $300 more a month in fuel then if I was getting at least 10mpg. Comparing my 5mpg right now to a hypothetical 10mpg.

IMO, 2003 was the last year Ford made a "TRUCK." -
