My 2008 has this issue. Started OK, reverse was fine, forward gears not so much. CEL on and truck would not turn over on a restart. All dash lights normal except for shift indicators which were off and have to count clicks on shifter. Went out later and it started but would still not function prperly as far as the transmission was concerned Edge Programmer turned up U0101 DTC. Indicators lights were delayed. Used my Edge Evo tuner to return to stock programming everything cleared up - for 200 miles. It repeated the first scenario - started fine, reverse fine, forward not so much. Restart -no response from starter. Programmer showing U0101 again. Batteries are original - so 8+ years old. Could this be the issue? Read that somewhere, also read check connectors, relays and fuses - connectors on fuse block, etc.

Any have insight or experience with this. Other sites aren't much help so far

 

Broken ground wire - reran ground wire to neg terminal on battery and unfortunately had to replace TCM as it did not survive second event. New TCM and truck runs as it should.
