Ya removed the egr and cleaned it nice, it was dirty, removed the o rings, I took it for a rip after and ya a little kick still but seems like its getting better and better. I'm thinking I'm going to clean it again next week just to see how much **** gets on it.... But anything else that could cause this.... Cause all of this is working but still there a little bit.

when u added the Rev x did u add 8OZ? You can clean the EBP sensor also and the elbow and tube that runs down to the drivers side exhaust manifold. Not sure what else without more info on the truck... A lot of things can cause a issue like this, no codes or engine light? Are u running aftermarket intake with cleanable filter? Too much oil on the filter can mist the sensor on the MAF and cause similar issues. MAF Sensor cleaner can be sprayed on the element to clean it...

Does it go away when the truck gets warm or is it always there?

Well usually it went away when it got warm, then it started to always be there when it went into over drive and low rpms is when it started and then it got worse and went to about 2000rpms. Now since I cleaned the egr and I added 8oz of rev x it has done the trick somewhat, like now its really random now, one minute at the the right area when it starts its not there and then later its back but only slightly... But I pulled a code that just came up p2287 injector control pressure sensor circuit intermittent, and one that was random was cylinder 1 1/2 circulation or something like that, I erased that code and it hasn't came back. While driving its running smoother then it was. The KnN that was put in is only 2 months old and still good. I pulled some black stuff off of the egr but wasn't to bad, no engine lite at all thou. I was going to throw a little bit of lucas oil additive for some extra stuff but never did that yet. So ya that's all I know so far, but I remember about 3 months ago I broke a bracket off my turbo back exhaust and I took alook in the turbo and there were some black crap in the turbo when I was putting the bracket back on, I know there is a lot of problems with the turbo getting soot inside of it and I was going to clean it but I don't know how.. The turbo is still running good and sounds good, but I was thinking I would have to replace a exhaust for the truck cause it might still be stock... But ya that's all I know

ICP sensor could definitely cause this. What are you reading your codes with? It'd be nice to get it on a scanner and monitor the ICP.

Do you know if you have an early 04 (ICP sensor would be back behind the turbo, a PITA to get to and commonly fail. Oil leaks on the connectors and the wires degrade and burn up back there) or a late 04+ would have the ICP sensor in the passenger side valve cover. You should be able to look at the valve cover and see if it's there or not. I think it has 3 wires (maybe 4) going to it.

I've heard of a few RARE cases of 03/early 04 trucks having the check valves in the high pressure oil rails fail and cause very similar symptoms, and intermittent too. It's a nearly impossible cause to chase down. It's something else to think about though.

A little more reading for you:

Ya the truck is an early 2004, I found a marking on the engine saying 2003, and I have been reading the codes with a bullydog chip that I borrowed just to read codes. So this is behind the turbo? So if I took in the truck to get it replaced how much am I looking at? Cause taking turbos out and such not my expertise . I know it doesn't always show that code for the icp but I thought I replaced it 1 year ago when I got the ficm replaced but ill have to go throu the paper work to see. But ya thank you ill try it out

You shouldn't have to take the turbo out, it's just harder to get at vs. the style with it in the valve cover. I think all you'd have to take off is the coolant reservoir (only 2 8mm bolts), and probably the FICM, which is only 4 10mm bolts and 3 electrical connections. Then you should be able to get back there and get at it. Where in Canada are you at?

well i have some good news and some bad news..... one of my buddies just started at the new ford shop so i brought it there to get it checked which he was doing on his spare time... and ya these were the problems...... fuel pump is shot, one injector is gone and the icp is fried..... not what i wanted to hear from him.... so good news is me and him are going to replace all the parts one by one and see if its just one or all of them need to be replaced..... but im so happy that i dont have to pay shop fees and that cause it would cost me just under 3000... but ill inform everyone what happens in a few days....

That should be extremely easy to diagnose without throwing parts at.

Fuel pump he can just test fuel pressure

injector he should be able to find with one of the Ford IDS scanners, they're some of the best.

ICP is also very easy to find with the scanner...

I would recommend not just replacing parts one at a time, but truly diagnosing it. Diagnose, verify, repair.

LOL expensive diagnosis... Not the best way to go about it but fuel pressure is easy, hook the gauge up to the fuel bowl theres a test port there, run it wide open...

Injectors IDS Power Balance test Injector interrupter after a cold soak will show weak injectors (stiction)

ICP pull ICP Pressure and ICP Des pids and monitor them.

IDS is by far the easiest to use OEM level scan tool ever. I hate GMs tech 2. own one. hate it. Used toyotas techstream what a joke! Chryslers DRB2 is just as bad as the tech 2. only worse. I cant wait to get taxes back this year im buying my own ids and vcm.
