Default Overhead Console

Does anyone know how to take the overhead console off of a 2007 F-250 SD? When I move it a little it sounds like there are metals clips up there but I don't know which way to move it. I just don't feel like breaking anything.

Are you wanting to get rid of it? I would love a console if so, what's your price?

Thanks for the offer, but I was just wondering how to get it off so I could get the headliner down to install the gauge pod that mounts over the rearview mirror. I actually sent that pod back and I ordered a pillar mount pod instead.

You don't have to pull anything down to mount that, it slips right up there...

Yea thats what it says. My auto dimmer mirror wiring was not long enough so when I talked to diesel manor they said their is a plastic push pin that holds the harness above the headliner and to pull that out for extra length. Also, it was right against my mirror. When I had the pod in to see how it would look, the mirror would not go up where I needed it, so I was looking at my back seat. Supposively they changed the windshield and that in 2005 and their is less of a gap above the mirror now than their was before. So I'm exchanging it for a pillar pod. Less of a hassle, but now I loose my help me up handle. I guess you have to sacrifice sometime to get what you want.

My overhead mount works just fine in my 06, with no issues with the mirror. I do NOT have the overhead console you speak of though.

I'm confused, what auto mirror dimmer wiring? You need to lengthen that to move the mirror down to fit the pod? Is that what you're saying?

There is a wire that goes to the mirror to give it power and I also think it is for the compass reading as well.
