Default And away she goes!

Got my new STC-X3 tuner from Innovative Diesel today! Uploaded the xtreme street tune. Took her out for a test run and, daagumm! Now I got a truck boys! I warmed her up for a couple miles then mashed the pedal and damn near gave myself whiplash. Don't know if it was from takin off so fast or from watching the power poles fly by. My only concern is that it shifts harder than it use to even when I keep my foot oit of it. Is that because of the huge jump in horsepower and torque? I've never owned a souped up vehicle before so I don't know what to feel for. The best way to describe the shifting is that when I get on it a little or alot it feels like I have a shift kit in it. Like its tryin to break the tires loose when it shifts. A buddy of mine told me that the hard shift I'm feeling is a GOOD thing. Like I said, I've never owned anything modified before. But the six-o sure does haul *** now!

Firm shifts are a good thing, and it will also take a few miles for your tranny to relearn too so it may soften up some, With in the next 50-100 miles if it doesn't feel the way you want you can plug up your sct and reload your tune and before you do go to adjust options and you can take your shift pressure down and that will help.

I would decrease it 5-10% percent at time until you find what you like

Yes, what mudstrokin said. Shift firmness is just a personal preference thing. You don't want/need HARD shifts, but firm and quick is what you're looking for.
