for you guys that are saying one truck is down power from another.... were any of the trucks CA emissions trucks? i ask this because my tuner had an 04 and traded it in after 3 sets of head gaskets, egr cooler(s), injectors (i think 12 total) and got an 06 identical truck except this one has the rv package and his old one didn't.... anyway on the valve cover where the engine displacement and whatnot is at the sticker is RED if it is a CA emissions and isn't if it's regular 49 states emissions.... he bought his CA emissions truck (the 06) in Orlando and the only reason he bought that one was cause it was what he wanted at the right time and the intrest rate was low..... knock on wood though this truck has not had a single problem..... -

Super cab to crewcab = +200lbs
04 to 05 Crew cab weight diff= +230lbs

So the truck gained AT LEAST 430lbs That could be why it was a little slower. -

05, four inch diomond eye exhast strait piped, hypertech max energy always on level 2, modified turbo. 85000 miles, getting 24 mpgs no issues with anything except the auto hubs getting chewed up. very fast truck for not being heavily modified, im happy with it. just like LUKESDIESEL said it is hit or miss it seems. my boss has an 04 with an edge programer. he get 13 mpgs and it doesent have the power it should in my mind. i was and still am a 7.3 man, but the 6.0 is a decent motor too. -

06 f-350
check sig for mods
25,000 miles on odometer
only problem was leaking oring on fuel tank. ford blamed it on me trying to COMPLETELY fill the tank on long hauls so i stoped and never hapened again.
deleting the egrvalve from the equation helps out a lot with the head gasket problems as does a set of arp headstuds -
