You should get the truck properly diagnosed before throwing more parts at it. White smoke is usually coolant burning (or just moisture in the morning), but sometimes it can be fuel on these. When it's blowing white smoke try and smell it. See if it's sweet and easy like coolant or if it burns your eyes like diesel. When you say EGR, did you replace the valve, the cooler or both? Why was the fuel pump changed? Why was the FICM changed (fuel injector control module, it's what I'm assuming you're talking about when you say Fuel control mod). FWIW, 18-19 is awesome mileage. I typically see between 13-15 in my extended cab shortbox 4x4 auto with tuner.

What are you using your truck for, and how many miles are on it? When's the last time the oil and oil filter was changed? What kind of oil? When's the last time the fuel filters were changed?

I wouldn't be too worried with injectors just yet, or at least I'm leaving that alone until we have more info.

Welcome to the board!

You can get the rev-x right on this site from the vendors section. Your friend is probably lying to you with mileage. Only a handful of 6.0's have gotten over 20mpg, most are 2x4 and have large injectors and turbos and tuned for it. Is he reading off of the factory console for mileage? It is often referred to as the lie-o-meter just FYI. The only real way to measure is to fill the fuel up into the fill neck so you can see it, drive, and then hand calculate it. Fuel additives really aren't going to get you better mileage. You might have a leaky injector. Hard to tell from here, and you didn't answer all of the questions.

Try some Rev-x first. Then if that dont help get the truck scanned to see which injectors are going out.

it's not too bad to change an injector. You have to remove whatever to get your valve cover off, take the high pressure oil rail off and then you can get to the injector to change it. It all depends on which injector it is, the driver side is easier. The passenger side is a bare to get to the bottom rear bolts on the cover, I had to remove the heat/ac box to remove the cover
