When taking the intake manifold off, you'll quickly notice that there are some studs and some bolts. My suggestion is take a marker of some sort, and mark the stud and the hole where the stud goes in. When you go to put it back together it will be a LOT quicker than trying to figure out where each goes. You'll see what I'm talking about as soon as you start tearing in...

Looks like I'm gonna have to pull the radiator shroud off to get the little bolts that attach to the forward part of the intake. I probably need to pull the radiator anyway. Suggestions or tips?

Never mind I got them out. I'm trying to keep the radiator and shroud intact. Less to mess with going back together. Man want am I talking about. At the rate I'm going Christmas will get here first.

Well the Intake, EGR Cooler are out. Looks like the Rocker boxes are next. Question on the egr delete sys. : What is the advantage or disadvantage of using the EGR plate opposed to leaving the valve in place? If you block the port with the plate, what do you do with the plug? Wrap it in tape?

No way I can get the Rocker box off the right bank. I can't get to the back bolts that hold the oil rail in place (bottom two bolts). The left side oil rail is off and I ca proceed on with rocker arms, injectors, etc.. but it ain't gonna help me on the right. Interesting observation when I pulled the Valve covers though: Found sludge in both banks attached to the valve covers only. When I pulled the oil rail on the left side, oil coming out of it was not affected, it looked good. The PVC box on top of valve cover had the same gunk inside it. I'm thinking either they coat the valve covers or that is coolant that has got inside. Oil drained from the engine did not reveal any such contamination either. So, what am I missing here? Aside from pulling this frigging engine out, I guess I can attempt to rip the heater box out. Man this is turning into a "cluster f___". Any tips left out there would be sincerely appreciated.
