Default Coolant smell in cab?

Hey everyone

Was just wondering what some ideas might be about the odd odour I'm getting in my cab after driving it for 10 mins or so. To me it smells like coolant but I'm not a mechanic so I could be wrong. Once it starts it generally doesn't stop. Doesn't change if I turn the heat on or off. All my temperature guages are reading within normal limits. The levels seem fine to me.

I just had the FICM replaced yesterday and roughly 2 weeks prior I had the transmission serviced. Truck is stock. I first noticed this smell about maybe a week ago, right around when the truck started to run rough which ended up being the FICM going wonky. I never mentioned it to the shop yesterday because I had forgotten about it after they were done having their way with me when I got the invoice.

Anyone had any similar experience? '04 6.0 w/4x4 automatic. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated. Cheers!

If it's coming out the reservoir, and you did an egr delete, that really only leaves headgaskets. You can try replacing the cap on the reservoir, as some say they go bad, but I'd eat my hat if it wasn't headgaskets.

Just an update it more or less happens when driving up hills or at highway speeds. If im just driving around town I don't seem to get the coolant smell.
