04, 6.0 F350 (Juice Platinum w/Attitude; Volant Air Intake, EGR Block and EGR Valve mod; 4 1/2 " exhaust and AMSOIL Oil bypass system)
My blower fan hasn't come on after 2 long hauls with my travel trailer. Clutch was replaced 6 months ago. Everything worked well then. Was about to take it in when I picked up a "low voltage in FICM" DTC, so I ran a voltage test and found the alternator was bad. Since the blower fan receives its commands from the PCM, would the alternator being out prevent the blower fan from coming on due to a low voltage condition. Any help would be appreciated. Dealer want about $250.00 to answer this question (Diagnostics charge). Thanks - |
