04. 6.0 ford 350 dually. No get up and go
My dually will not pass 3000 rpm while parked. When I drive it it won't go faster than maybe 20. I just got the truck and previous owner would mash on it like that until it would pick up so I'm bringer back to life. No smoke what so ever. Starts good hot. A little rough cold. But no too bad. Has 240,000 miles on it but all highway. I checked the Ebp and cleaned and changed sensor. Change oil and fuel filters. Full synthetic 5w. Just added hot shot and going to let it sit idle cause I can't drive for 90 miles to circulate. Also cleaned egr. My scanner does not give me codes. Any ideas. Or am I missing something. It's my first diesel and I ain't quitting I did get one code for number one injector but could one injector hold it back like that??

You need to get a scanner and check desired vs actual on hpop if you have early 04. If actual is low your hpop is worn out. You need the pressure to fire injectors properly, worn out pump can't build enough pressure. I just did mine after checking everything I could check. I got the Dieselsite billet pump. Was such a beautiful piece of mechanical art I didn't want to cover it up!

Still no power
Just checked turbo. Took it off and apart. Seems it remanufactured and super clean. Put back and still the same. If the HPOP was worn wouldn't it have trouble starting hot?? I don't have that problem. Going to auto zone today to put on scanner. Or if any one in sugar land Texas vould help. I sure would apreciate it

Mine started and ran fine at idle, low pressure but enough to fire. . . As you increase demand on system, pressure supposed to build accordingly. Mine just acted like it was gasping for air. . . Went down road ok but couldn't pass a lawn mower going down hill. Check desired vs actual and you will see if it's pump.
