Default 6.0 questions.

I've got a 05 that's been studded and deleted with 225k and my oil cooler failed. I'm going to rip it apart in a couple weeks. Any tips/tricks to make it as smooth as possible? Is there a way to get rid of the jet engine sound? I love the way my truck sounds for about 30 seconds on start up then that changes to the jet and I hate it. Thanks in advance

Not really many tips on the oil cooler, just take your time. Be nice to her and she will be nice to you.

Now the jet engine noise. Yes there is. You can wire in a switch that will shut it off. But, you need to turn the switch off while driving

It's really a bad idea. I will tell you what it does and what people call it, but as far as setting is up, that is on you, there are plenty of threads out there

People call it a smoke switch, and with a tuned truck they do just that. It opens the Vgt function (like it has a bigger turbine) and turbo speed greatly reduces

Definitely a different/new turbo. This is my dd family grocery getter so it's got to be done right. I tow all of the time. Its actually pretty rare for me not to have a wagon behind it. I've got a common rail I'm going to rebuild and eventually put In the truck
