Default When to get studs

Hey guys I'm new to this forum and relatively new to the diesel world . My question is at what point do I need head studs. Every now and then I tow about 12k lbs but 99% of the time it's just my daily driver. I'll list my "upgrades " below.

Afe stage 2 cold air intake
6 inch turbo back exhaust with 7" stack .
Sinister egr delete
Sinister coolant filtration system.
Sct livewire programmer .

I have 05 6.0 with 230k on it and my mechanic who is a ret. ford diesel tech said at this point just drive it out. im looking at 3300 labor and 1100 for studs. he said had I done it at 130k mils then it would have extended the life. this enging runs 12.5k to replace. im not sure if this info helps you or not.

Default Thanks

Yeah that does help, I have a really good powerstroke mechanic local here , 2500 for studs, gaskets, all machine work and have the heads decked plus all fluids ,and labor. so 2500 out the door and 3-4 day turnaround
