Default 6.0 A/C wiring issues

Hey guys, playing with a 2006 6.0 and this has really got me thinking ill tell you what is going on, if you let the truck run for 2 hours it will have good cold A/C but the issue is as soon as you drive it for 5 min the compressor kicks out and will not turn back on. but there is still power to the compressor to kick the clutch in. there is a diode in the system but I cannot seem to locate it. power runs from the relay-compressor clutch then to ground, in between the relay and the clutch there is a split which runs to a diode then to ground, anybody think that diode could be drawing to much power not letting the compressor stay on? the relay gets very warm and keeps pushing out full power. one issue is I cannot find where the diode is. it says in the under dash compartment but I am not seeing it. I am not a ford guy at heart but I work on them a bit. so anybody have any incite at all?
