Default Residue on downpipe inlet

what the? any ideas?

some details on the truck are: 2006 Powerstroke long bed extra cab with 90k on it. new (about a year old now) factory turbo, FICM, all new boots, exhaust gaskets, bulletproof egr, and bulletproof oil cooler, sinister coolant filtration, 4.0" exhaust

Have you noticed this anywhere else on the turbo??

No, only in the back of the turbo and right there on the top. There is a little bit of residue on the top of the block too though.
