Default Oil color question

I am still battling WTF is going on with my 6 liter 2 questions, Where are there good spots to temp hook upa oil pressure gauge, and could a oil cooler plugged cause oil color on the top end to be almost new and bottom end ( oil pump reg) be black? I have been having no start problems. replaced hpop and it started and ran better than it ever has for 1 hour then it died on the road under 3/4 throttle. I did hookup a manual gauge to the ICP sensor port on the passenger front valve cover and got 0 psi after cranking for a bit. My first thoughs were to do a air test again ( 3rd time) and see if the ball bearing poped out of the hpop. Also when it did run for a hour, i was getting a oil temp error, checked the oild temp connector by the oil filter and it was gtg. Any ideas??

Ohh early 2004 f250 6 liter

first off, if the ICP port is on valve cover then it is a late 04 build. Have you checked the low pressure oil pump to make sure it is good? I am thinking you have a high pressure oil leak, maybe at the top of injectors, you will have to take the valve covers off and do an air test because when it is the top of injector it takes a while for the oil to get out so you can hear the air, with the covers off you can see it bubbling out. also double check the IPR valve because it is common for it to get clogged shortly after a HPOP install.

Good points BOB thanks I think my next step is to test the lpop. I have already done all the seals on the injectors including the ones inside the top of the injectors The first time the truck died it was totally that!! the injector seal on number 3 cyl. was dried up and had pieces missing. Amazingly the truck mad it from florida to wa state before totally becoming no start the first time around!! As frustrating as it can get, I am enjoying trouble shooting my truck because the more I have to figure out the better i understand how things work on it

Thanks for input, will keep you posted

look up Autoenginuity, with the ford bundle, it is a great tool for these trucks and it will save you from having to go to the dealer.
