Default Need injector help

I just bought a 03 f250 6.0 with 121k miles and has egr delete. This morning it got down to about 55 degrees and it cranked right up but puffed out a ball of smoke about 6" big then had a somewhat rough idle till it started getting warm. The guy i bought it from say he thinks injectors are out on it but does that sound right? What symptoms would i see with bad injectors? And what symptoms would i see with bad FICM? Thanks

Generally with a bad FICM you will get Fault Codes for bad injectors on one of the engine banks. Bad injectors will cause rough idle, and will haze or smoke sometimes. But these injectors can get a sticking issues im not sure what additive is recomended for this Im sure one of they guys will chime and too and tell ya. But its hard to determine a rough idle, they purr untill they get a lil heat in the cylinders.

Try hot shot secret to clean oil system then rev-x at every oil change. Won't fix broken parts but cleans "stiction" issues if just dirty or lack of maintenance. There are other supporters here who sell quality products and are in that section of the site. I use 5-40 Rotella synthetic because I can't always plug it in and need it to start in any weather. (Like upstate New York snowmobiling).
