Ok so I could really use some help here. 2003 6.0l stock other than egr delete and head studs.
Ok the other day I went to start my truck in the morning but it acted like the battery's were dead(nothing was left on) I jumped it and it started up alittle rough. I drove it for about 5 min then when I was going up a big hill it just wouldn't speed up then it cut out and died like it ran out of fuel, it was very low on fuel but shouldn't have run out. I checked the fuel filter and it had fuel in it. I put some diesel in the tank and it started up after a couple tries. Ever since then it's been starting real rough and has maybe half the power. It drives and acts completely normal, the turbo spools when it should, sounds like it should, but It has no power. My initial thought was its not getting any boost but I'm not sure.

I will check the ficm tomorrow. So I didn't mean to put that I had an egr delete, I took that out and cleaned it today. Looks like it needs new o rings pretty badly.
I took it out for a drive today and it has almost no pull in 1st gear. It spools up and starts puffin soot then shifts into 2nd at about 3k rpms and dumps a wall of smoke.

 

if those orings are bad that could cause it, it would be the same as the EGR valve hanging open. you loose boost, causing the black smoke.

 

Ok. I appreciate the response. I'm gonna get an oring kit today. Hopefully that fixes it.

Well it stopped smoking so much and I have about half power back. Still seems like I'm not getting anywhere near full boost. I still need to test the ficm.
Any other ideas?
