Default Codes help please

Ok guys so I drove to work and had my gauges flash at me. I got two codes. First is a p0299 for under boost and the seconds is a p0487 for egr throttle position. It's on a 2004 f250 I have 8000 on bullet proof with all new top end parts and new turbo. I need help to figure out what is causing these codes..

Your 2004 may still have the EGR throttle plate installed. Is it still plugged in??

if you have a late 04 then it could be the butterfly valve in the intake not opening all the way, this would cause a low boost and also might cause the EGR Throttle position code to pop up. if you still have the butterfly valve do yourself a favor and pick up a 05and up intake elbow, it will bolt right up and it is taller so it eliminates the butterfly valve too, the EGR valve will still function with the butterfly gone.

Ya is a late 04 and I do have that valve. I will look to see what I can find. Can you just pull te buttery fly out of the valve.

Cause the truck ran fine. Still would build 25psi just fine.

You probably could pull the butterfly out by removing the plate itself but the shaft would have to stay. If you use a 05and up elbow it will replace that whole butterfly housing and the cooler pipes will line up. You remove the butterfly housing and the short intake elbow then replace with just the taller 05+ intake elbow.
