Default Head Gasket R&R plus mods

Hey guys,
I'm almost ready to start tearing my motor apart to do the heads on my 6.0. I was just curious if anyone could give me a list of everything I should need. I've got my lady's dad, a 35 year veteran mechanic, who's gonna assist me but I was just looking for outside advice and/or help. Cant ever know everything so anything helpful would be much appreciated. I was told by our truck centers master mechanic that because I can get the turbo off without any issues that I would be safe doing a cab on job and that I'm fully capable. Almost got all my parts together so any do's dont's or checklists would be much appreciated.
Thanks much

Cab on is doable.Just takes more time.

Use Ford OEM head gaskets. Other after market gaskets dont seem to hold up. Since your pulling the heads get some ARP studs also. And while in there update the STC fitting and your stand pipes. Have your heads checked and decked. If you got an extra $200/$300 have them fire ringed.

Im having all this done this week plus an Bullet Proof egr cooler( Caifornia smog laws blow). If there is something Iam missing Im sure others will chime in soon. Good luck..
