(had problems bleeding injector lines --but thats from my improper technique:argh:)

when fired up never missed a beat idle is soooooo smooth
smoke is very easy to control (right foot)

my diesel mechanic was very impressed and wanted to know where i got them (since i didnt come to him for the injectors) which i got yelled at for prior to test drive

All i have to say is thank you Cris at Southern Diesel Xtreme (SDX) for the great injectors and to weston for pointing me in their direction

I will be doing business with Southern Diesel Xtreme again

-great product
-great price
-fast shipping / good packaging

Limit of STOCK injectors

Before I get carried away and destroy another motor going crazy with bombs and such, I was wondering what the limit of stock p-pump 12v injectors is? I believe the motor is a 160hp version and is bone stock as of now. I have a set of 4k gov springs coming and planned on doing some fuel plate mods. Fuel injectors will come once a little moo-lah get's saved up, but in the meantime I want to bump up the power a little bit (8800lbs and 38's are tough to get moving and the motor isn't making my butt-dyno happy in stock tune)

I'd also like to open the thread to injector suggestions if you want to haze me for trying to push stock units.

Any advice is appreciated! :c:

I got my SB in yesterday.
I'm running cummins bellhousing and input shaft on the front of a chevy trans (sikk setup with the newer shift tower and harmonic balancer :rocking:)

I'm running dodge master and slave cylinders. Master rod is welded to the chevy rod that comes to the pedal. The line is spliced to make it fit right, but not leaking.

With stock clutch the same setup worked perfectly. I put the organic/feramic southbend in, and the clutch isn't completely disengaging. at first I thought I had no release, but I tried jamming it into gear and it does work, just isn't completely disengaging.

Does anyone have experience with this setup? I'm not sure if its just break in or if I have a hydraulic leverage issue. Pedal to master cylinder has no adjustment so I'm gonna have to hack shit up to change it.

I have my 4K kit in and all is great except whe I set the Cruise. I get a slight surge when i set the cruise and then while running down the highway I'll feel a slight surge in the seat of my pants and the boost gauge will move a couple pounds and then settle back down. I have the GSK set to the stock depth and I have tried 2, 3, 4 clicks more and 1 less than stock. To be at the stock depth I have them set at intial +3 clicks. Is this normal with a 4K kit? The tighter I made them the worse the surge was... looser didn't help so i just put it back. Any ideas?

New to this forum and hbeen actively using the search engine. A couple of posts indicated that just tightening the retaining nuts on the stock springs 3 to 4 clicks would have the governor behave like a 3K GSK would.

Is this true? If I want a little more RPM headroom, why not just tighten down the stock springs instead of messing around with a kit?

Am I missing something?

Advice/experience gratefully appreciated.

Thanks...Steve.
