what is wrong with fuel.

drivin down highway truck felt like something shut off but did not all gauges were up but felt like i had no fuel service eng light came on stopped and sat for a bit restarted and ran ok light still on a couple of miles did it again changed filter cleared light drove truck light came on again please help 02 silverado 6.6 duramax

Looking into used trucks... hopefully a D-Max or maybe a Cummins

anywho... my price range is around 20k... probably a little less i have found a couple of 03s and 04s but the mileage is around 120k... i'm used to gassers and that seems high... but its not a gasser

i just trying to wrap my brain around spending that much for a truck with that many miles. basically i'm wondering how long i can expect the truck to last. i've heard around 400k on the cummins, but i would prefer a gm so im looking for a milage guess-tamate.

question about an 03 duramax

im about to look at an 03 with about 100k miles on it... the whole lb7 injector thing is kinda freaking me out. the trucks all seem to be around 20k (thats what i can afford) around here and spending that much to have the injectors fail in a year or two seems risky. do you think its worth it to avoid the truck just because of this reason... or others.

any help would be great

My FIL 2004 Chevy Silverado had a diesel engine in it but it will not start any advice? We tried jump starting her but all of the electrical is working fine it just wont turn over..... It was running then just stopped what could it be?

Please help me out......

Duramax fuel filter issue ac delco to baldwin

The ac delco filter that came off had a black rubber insert inside the center. The Baldwin did not come with one so I put it in the balwin but there was no way the threads would come close to catching so I took it out and screwed the Baldwin on. So my concern is if the rubber insert is not in there is my fuel getting filtered???? On the bottom where the filter attached there was a rubber nipple hanging down that looked like it would make contact with the filter. Hope someone can shed some light on this.

Do these reallly work that well?

Crazy question but does the 05 duramax have 2 fuel filters on it? I wasnt sure because a friend of mine has a powerstroke and his truck has 2 filters on it.

Someone help, I purchased tires and wheels from a friend 18's. Now i'm looking for the correct lift kit to do it right the first time. Some friends at work say that the kits in the magazines are all junk. They say they know this from experience from cupped tires bad rides the whole bad senerio deal. They said if they could do it all over again they would never have started with the cheap magazine kit. I'm thinking 6 inches would fit my purposes well but now i'm confused and don't know which kit to get, any help old timers?
