The transgo Jr. is only for the six speeds, they are stronger stock. The transgo is what we need in our 5 speeds and will come with that suncoast stage IV kit. The transgo shift kit is not as easy of an install the trans has to be removed so you might as well wait and build the whole thing while your at it. Just the shift kit will only help so much the converter is still weak and wouldn't hold up to that kind of power very long. -

He Changed his DIC (Driver information Center) with EFI Live. As for the transgo shift kit for your 5 spd.. I would NOT flog on it with any tune over about 70hp, even with the Transgo.

The 5 spd trans is not quite as tough as the spd IMO..

Drive easy, and save up some $$ for the whole trans and EFI live.. then you can flog all you want. -

just back off for that shift.. you can count the gears as the trans is shifting up thru them. so when it gets ready to shift to 5th, just let off the pedal and let it shift, then roll back into it to keep it from downshifting. -

I would even still be a little careful rolling into it in 5th, thats when i limped mine. Of course my tune was considerably larger than 70 horse -

well i'm playing on doin this with a 200hp tune. just for a couple runs. so yeah i guess i'll just let it shift and hopefully the guy i'm racing wont be close enough for slight time i'm off the pedal to matter. -

I ran mine on a tune that was around 150 horse all the time since early this summer and didnt have a problem until i turned my pulse width way up to do some experimenting, thats when i finally limped it So as long as your nice to it on the shift you'll probably be fine -
