What would be considered the maximum safe RPM for going down hill in a low gear loaded for a stock 93' Cummins? And what RPM is ideal for pulling a heavy load up hill? I am going to install a tach because I dont whant to over rev going down steep hills loaded heavy.

safe rpm is the one right below the one the engine turns into little broken pieces at
![]() not sure on that one. as for pulling uphill, you want to be at max torque rom whatever that may be for your engine, 1600-1800rpm or so? |
