Ok correct me if I'm wrong but I was told that a 6.7 head is a direct bolt on to 5.9 common rail? And I was also Told there would be an increase in hp and if so are they any obstacles to overcome electrically?... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

im sure it will bolt on right one...im pretty sure the 6.7 is just a bored and stroked 5.9 so...

I would highly doubt your gonna have any seat of the pants increase in power by doing the swap...

possibly better airflow, bout the most i can guess... havent had a chance to look under the hood of the 6.7 really but from the aftermarket intake horns they're wider which to me means more flow to accomodate a better flowing head... so if anything that's where you'd see the increase from not b/c its a 6.7 head instead of the 5.9

tower_ofpower's Sig:One thing i learned in college: DON'T!!! stick your fingers where you wouldn't stick Mr. Happy 89' W250, full fuel 1 1/2 turns, smoke screw needs adjustment, M&H M3 fuel pin and timing spacer, 366 spring, air dog 150,3" DP to 4" DP back bully dog exhaust with the front baffle cut out. Soon to be:transmission upgade, turbo and manifold swap, and injectors.

so more than likely its not worth the time and effort to do the swap? he said he can get me one for 150, and i was hoping maybe it would solve my tapping problem

tapping problem??? i had one that came into my shop with a tapping problem it turned out to be a bent push rod

150 bucks for a head? go for it man (as long as it isn't cracked) it can only compliment any other mods you do to the truck
