no there is no difference what so ever i have the chamber and my budy has the y-pipe and there is no difference. you can change the sound difference buy the size of the down pipe and weather you have straight or flex pipe

Can you send me the demensions of that box? Youd think there would be a sound difference.

nope no sound difference at all but it is 6X6 suare tubing and it is 60" long with two 5"pipe on the top and one on the bottom. also were you put the inlet on the bottom put a "v" on the top so the exhaust doesnt pownd the top it burnerd a hole through mine in about 3 months

I was thinking about makeing it like 4'' high and 5'' wide with 4'' inlet and exit. did you buy the box like that or weld it up your self?

welded it myself bout the steel from a steel plant

What ga did you use? Im thinking of doing it out of stainless too then makeing a heat shield of some sort so I can still have the dirt bikes in there.

whst guage? this chamber is bullet proof its 3/8 thick steel its all i had laying around, i have a tool box behind mine with a 100 Gallon diesel slip tank below my tank and now a goosneck hide a hitch behind the tank

I did mine for $300 bucks about the same set up. I used a 5" pipe with 2 elbows in sted of a steel box.

ya that would work also, i just usea the steel box because i mounted my air tank on it for my air bags,air horns and air ride seats

Your box does not get hot? My pipe melts every thing that touches it. LOl...
