Default Reasons Why

Why did this truck only make in the 450hp area? A couple reasons, one being that small drum no load dyno, they should have had the pulling lawn tractors on there instead of the trucks. Second, that Adrenaline is overfueling at the bottom, and breaking up on the top end, not a good combination for any form of good results. I would be interested to see a standard Comp box to replace the Adrenaline, and put it on a 248H or 248X Dynojet.

Smokem's Sig:Hp numbers, no need to back them up on another dyno, just put them in your signature, it's the coolest.

dyno is just a tuning tool... When my truck ran a 13.8 @7400lbs i had it dynoed a few weeks later with the same tune and made 362 hp. was it off? maybe but if its consistent then it would be a good tool to test upgrades.

and you can go to one dyno itl read 400hp and go to another itl read 500 for you. -

every one there thought that dyno was a joke besides baileys. i honestly dont think baileys 3rd gen is 650, and i know kirks wasnt a 500hp truck, it is higher, and i know smokin u truck aint 500. the truck in question, needs to get on a better dyno, a more reputible, and more set up for diesels. -

So me not knowin much about dyno's here, am I understanding it right then in assuming that Dyno's are pretty much worthless then except for tuning your truck if you run on the same machine each time to asses gains. -

That truck was hardly loaded at all. I was on a local superflow with around the same drum size and on twin trucks we were loading it at 75% and they still saw 10psi less on the dyno than on the street. -

Silver Bullet, 200hp injectors, Edge Comp, Dynojet 224 - 453hp. Notice how the other truck, even with the larger turbocharger doesn't drown the engine? Yet the hp numbers are very similiar on a similiar dyno? Should tell you that there is a lot left on the table, but with poor advice comes poor results.

Whats the point here? Is someone mad cause there truck didnt make the HP they thought it would? Ive seen some crazy numbers on different dynos with some crazy setups.

At out Dyno Day in Blowing Rock there was a kid with a VP truck running a Holley Pump, Jammer 5's, Drag Comp and a PS64. He made 542hp if I remember correctly.

To many factors when it come to dynos. -

The point is both of those trucks should have made a larger number, but you don't hear the guy from California blaming everyone about his problems. Luke, since when did this concern you anyway? -
