salt does kill a truck but if you take care of it and keep it washed when you get a warm day then you will be ok.. I mean like getting the frame and under the fenders and everything.... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Ours get cleaned after every snow and they are still rotting apart. We have stuff that is supose to neutralize the salt and everything we put on them and it slows it is about all.

hmm what kind of spreaders do you have the new TGS 1100 boss hitch spreader i got has a pretty good size back guard on it so barley any salt hits the truck or frame goes were it needs it to be on the ground behind me..

We run a roadways 2.5 Yard V-Box, a new Snow Way 1.5 yard V-box, a Western Pro Flow tailgate spreader and dad runs a old school buyers. The Snow way spreader sucks just as bad as there plows. Everyone I know that runs Boss around here hates them with a passion. Always breaking on them and no one carries parts in our area for them. I'm a fan of Western and Blizzard mainly because I can get parts quickly and reasonably.

I grew up on BOSS and my dad gave me his 2007 BOSS 8ft 6in with wings to me it looked brand new there wasnt even a mark on it.. then i was told that the new SNow Wya mega V is a good plow and i pulled the trigger on one and boy it looks bad A$$ but the darn thing lifted the first day fine and the next day it would barley lift so i took it down to the dealer and they put a new power pack in it and it worked great the first lift then got slower and slower so I said I dont think i want to have a plow like this the dont work so i got my money and BOSS back..

Yeah even the old snow way we have is like that. It has a mind of its own and works when it decides to. I've never personally ran a Boss so I cant comment on them. I just wish it would freaking snow around hear. The 23 we got an ice storm and yesterday it was almost 70. Stupid weather is killing me around here.

I havent plowed a driveway in seven years. I work for a local college and all I plow now is lots and main roads. Dad only plows a few driveways but I would not call them average. One of them is three miles long and all up a steep hillside.

I have a Sno-Way 29T. I plow 14 residential drives and 2 commercial contracts this season.

It's a big jump for me. Last year I had 2 driveways and one commercial lot.

I subbed last year to bring in some extra $. This year I'm only doing the sidewalk for the same company. They liked the liquid deice I use and asked me to do the walks only.

It's a good deal, they provide the equipment, I provide the deice liquid and they know my accounts come first. I'm sure they will buy their own next year, I figure I'd strike while the iron was hot...
