Default Diesel Power Magazine Articles!

Just thought I would share with anyone who has not seen the new Diesel Power. We are very proud to announce that our second customer truck is a feature article this month. Some of you may remember the Cummins powered F550 that was featured in the April issue. If not, HERE is the link.

As soon as DP gets the article on the Mega Cab Dually up on the website, I'll get a link posted for that too.

We put alot of work into these trucks and I just wanted to show everyone what we have done! -

Nice looking swap, but why in the world did they put a VP powered 24V in there???

Wonder why we never see the Dodge guys implanting a PowerStroke into their trucks. Fellas, please spare everyone the headache and don't respond to my last comment. Yes, it was a stab, but we all know the answer and the reasoning behind it. -

Just remember where you are. DB is an "all things diesel" site and no bashing allowed. A little ribbin is ok but if you don't want reticule don't place yourself in the position. And yes, everyone knows why. -

Ah, ah, ah, I could care less if anyone has a response directly towards me, but I just don't want all of those who know better to have to deal with the typical back and forth banter that ensues on some of the other sites when a comment such as mine is made.

Personally I would love to have a Cummins powered Ford. Especially in the 550. It is no secret that Ford builds strong trucks.... they just chose the wrong engine manufacturer!

Ok, I'm done! "give: -

Thanks Guys!

He went for the ISB instead of the ISBe (CR) for project cost reasons. I pushed pretty hard te get him to go that route, but no. EIther way, the motor has been wonderful. Making 450hp/900 ft lbs on the Dyno in Tulare, it has spent about 35K miles, mostly pulling, since its conversion. Gets reasonable fuel mileage, and pulls like crazy. He is talking about swapping a CR in at a later point in time if the local emissions laws get too much worse. -

Yep, I think MadDog has proven that the Ford and Cummins makes a pretty good marriage. -

Jason, congrats on getting Marlin's truck in the magazine. I wonder which truck that you've worked on will be the next to be featured in the magazine. Maybe your '06? Or how about the '90?(J/K). Only time will tell I guess. As far as the Cummins powered F550 goes, the shop that did the conversion did an awesome job on it, for lack of a better term. The truck works great from what I've seen. Its no slouch performance wise, either.

Scott -
