no I used the 240d flywheel and bellhousing and pressure plate, and a s10 clutch with a 14 spline input shaft. I had to change the input shaft but that was easy. 15 min job, I am using a t5 tremec 5 speed from a 94 s10 vette is doing a similar conversion but he bought a adapter plate with starter and is using that if you want detail information e mail me

The 373's seam to be the right set up for me the truck still has good takeoff and rpm at highway speed are ok truck runs out great and drives fine so far could not be happier with this mb om617 in this S-10. I put xtreme springs on this truck and xtreme wheels so that helps with the gearing.
The swap is a winner so far. Have over 500 mile and counting. Vette

Default SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well after couple of months making my adapter I have success I have successfully mated a om617 to a Chevrolet t5 tremec transmission

if you are going to do this here is a list of items you will need
.500 plate steel for adapter
240d flywheel
240d bellhousing
240d pressureplate
t5 clutch bearing and clutch fork
14 tooth input shaft and sycro
8.5 14 tooth s10 clutch 1986 year
35mm frost plug
6203 bearing

step 1 get your input shaft in and set tranny on bench facing up for ease of working on it
step2 get your steel make it 5-6" bigger you can trim after you get it together
step3 drill transmission bolt holes I used 1/2-13
step4 set bell-housing on get you orientation right take clutch bearing drop over transmission sleeve bearing face down this will set you distance so close
step5 drill and tap transmission holes
step6 modify clutch fork to fit and drill hole in bell- housing for clutch rod
step7 drive soft plug in crank for a spacer
step8 install pilot bearing clutch pressure plate
step 9 assemble

any questions pm me

here are a couple of pictures the adapter plate is a little rough but some times how it works on paper does not carry over to the real world.

the holes in the bell housing was where I was originally going to cut it for the fork to come through but I was able to make a way smaller hole
