Awesome work. How long did it take you?

$500 for the doner truck - what a deal.

Do you have an A/C pump installed? If so,, is it the one for the Cummins, and where is it located. I don't think I have room in the original location for one. I've seen them mounted up over top of the VE pump. What are your plans?

Dr. Evil: I started it last July, had it drivable by November, and that included running out of project money a few times, then just had a few bugs and problems to work out after that. And yeah, I couldn't believe it when the guy I got it from told me thats all he wanted for it!

markp: I haven't got the AC installed yet, not 100% sure what I'm going to do yet. I have all the AC system parts from both trucks saved just in case. The factory Cummins location won't work, it hits the frame, and I have seen them mounted above the IP before, but you have to do a V belt setup for it. I saw a Ford swap on another forum where the guy built a new water neck/bracket on the block and it worked out very nicely, I'll have to look later and see if I can dig it back up. Can't remember which pump he used now though.....

It is definitely not the color I would have picked had there been a better choice when I bought it, although it does look a lot better lifted. I would like to repaint it a different color someday, but my wife likes the way it is and told me I don't need to change it.

As for the AC pump,, I would like to use a Ford pump, since all the other AC components are Ford. I was thinking of mounting over the pump, but looking for a pump from a newer Ford product that has a serpentine belt. My pump is almost new,,,, not sure if I can just change the pulley on it to a serpentine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Not sure about swapping pulleys, that would be the easiest route by far if it's possible. My 460efi had 6 row serpentine pulleys, the Cummins has an 8 row, so will have to see how hard it would be to adapt the Cummins pulley probably. I just thought of it this morning, but I have heard that you can get a high mount style AC bracket off of med duty Kenworths with the 6bt and that has worded in the Fords. And here is the link to the build with the custom waterneck/ac bracket. He did his accessories a bit different then I did and he is using the Ford radiator, but still a neat design.

Hey I got another question; How did you wire up the dodge alternator?
