Chevy/Cummins swap
Hey everyone, got an old body style chevy im lookin to swap a cummins into. Been lookin everywhere online for info and it all seems pretty straight forward. Gotta notch the frame, drop the crossmemeber, make a tranny mount and run hydroboost for more clearance. the only problem is i dont have a 220 volt welder at hand and i cant make everything. im lookin for part sources on MOTOR MOUNTS. they offer something on AutoWorld but ive been told its possible to use the stock motor mount brackets on the cross memeber. Any advise?

if the truck is an 80's call Avalanche Engineering, they sell a complete tube crossmember for about 400 bucks, its stronger and helps tie the front of the truck together better, also look at a steering box brace for the truck cause that cummins is heavy and thats alot of weight on the nose and it may rip the box out of the frame......another thing is that there is a factory cummins to chevy tranny adapter out of the bread trucks, you just got to find one.....

Do you really wanna easy, and cheaper way of doing your swap?
Move your body over to the other frame.
Or, cut the frame in half, and re-weld it to your truck.
maybe you have $8000 to do the yank, and swap way.
Don't get angry with me; I don't set the prices!!!
