Default Yet another cummins swap

Hi all!

I know probably most of you are sick of seeing another cummins post but I'd like to make a guide on the process and do it myself as well for the first time, yet I cannot seem to get any definite answers on some conflicting topics. So if it's okay with you all I'd like to write my questions below and if any of you know the definite answer. Thank you.

The vehicle the swap will be performed for;

1994 Chevy K3500 (4x4) Crew Cab Long bed Dually. 6.5L

Requirements for build;

1) No a/c
2) IFS Has to be kept
3) 4l80e Has to be kept

Lastly...

4) Stock ride height needs to stay as close to a stock leveled position as possible

Explainations for the above, I dislike a/c and the clutter the system takes up so I won't have any of that.

4l80e transmission being kept due to the fact I have a brand new one that's been built to take a beating.

Keeping the Independant front suspension cause...well why not. Love the ride of a GM.

And about the ride height, it's not a requirement to stay stock height. I'll lift it to any height that'll make the process the easiest but I'm not a fan of big jacked up trucks, I love the way they came off the show room floor and like to keep them close to the same. But...won't cry over it if I have to lift it 3".

Now Onto some questions

Q:
Is a body lift REQUIRED? If so what is the MINIMUM size needed?

A:

Q:
Is a straight axle swap Required on a 4x4 IFS truck?

A:

Q:
Other than a adaptor plate for the 4l80e, will a different flex plate be required to mate them?

A:

Q:
What year cummins would he best to use for the hydroboost system of a GM?

A:

Q:
Best way to convert the electronic throttle system to the cable system a 5.9 requires? (Mounting, running if he cable, etc)

A:

More questions will pop up as I think of them. I'm aware of majority of the process, just some areas are skeptical based on where you read about it. Some say One way, some say another, etc.

Again, nice to meet you all!
