Hello all. i Have the chance to pick up a couple motors for next to nothing. The seller pulled them out of a reefer a year or so ago, and they were running fine. doesnt know anything beyond that. He sent me some pics, and im pretty sure they are the kubota idi version. looking for some confirmation. Also, Im wondering if the only difference between the idi and the di is mpg. can i get similiar hp/tq from the idi? is the mpg penalty about 5mpg?

thanks, guys

30%. That seems like a lot. I think that will not be enough for what I'm looking For.

Thanks.

Anyone know of an alternator and belt setup to use with this?

It's a newer 2203 with a ribbed belt instead of the v belt. Should I just swap it out for the v belt pulleys?

I also picked up a v2203 a wile back ... been toying with putting it in my 2.0 ranger .. but i may save it for a cooler project ..

I have a pretty well setup machine shop .. I dont know if anyone else in interested in some parts , but i can make adapters , crank spacers .

and i know a guy with a water jet who has lots of free time ..

maybe we can get some people together for some parts ?

I'm interested in an adapter and a hub for a ranger. I have a 2.8 I believe is the same pattern as the 4.0.
