So a big reason this project got put off the last couple months was in Oct 14th 2013 my father passed away suddenly of a heart attack, my father was a pack rat and had more projects then anyone i know.
we found 14 vehicle/trailers registered in his name along with a couple that had no paper work, that where this truck came from. 2 trucks 3 cars 3 boats/trailers and 3 motor cycles, a hovercraft and a motor home. he lived in a 900 sq ft. duplex, he was a "handy man" so tools where his game,
we had 3 very loyal customers of his come forward and inform us their garages were full of his tools. they weren't kidding. it has take my brothers and I months to collect everything and clean out his place.
Then to put more **** in the fire my Grandfather, my dad's dad passed Dec 18th 2013, the double blow was devastating, i am very lucky for my wife and 3 kids being there for me or i don't think i would have made it thru all this. I am starting this to help keep my mind positive and not in the depressed state i have been in the last couple months.
It will not be a fast build. Between work and family progress will be slow. but should be steady.
i am hopefully getting a motor this week, been calling around trying to find one and have a few good leads.
I got a call from my uncle to stop by my grandfathers house and pick up something he bought for me and my brothers about a year ago but i need a truck. well i get there and find he bought us a car rotisserie. should make under carraige work easier, this one hooks to the hubs on a vehicle and not the frame, pictures of this will come as soon as i can get it set up, i want to test the courier on it.

got bored at work on friday, I have wanted an engine run stand for along time and things were slow friday so I built this . started with radiator and 6 casters. It will be completely adaptable to any motor and will be building seperate mounts for the kubota, sbc , bbc , and a volvo 4 cylinder marine motor i am trying to sell. plus my 320 cu in .straight eight buick
i have a full gauge panel to mount and a toggle panel. i will build a battery box along with gas tank mount, i have a electric fuel pump to plump and still need to make the crossmembers but hey are in the works as we speak.

per request
1940 buick series 80. my great grandfather bought it new.
this was me towing it out of its resting place where it was parked in 1956
crappy picture of the motor
misc
the wheel base is 140 inches, 4 inches longer then a suburban.
the third window on the side rolls back and is actually where the seat is.
to say the least the car is huge!

if this car wasnt as rare as it is and been in the family as long as it has i would probably throw a 12v cummins in it. it has crossed my mind more then once. and the motor in it currently weighs 800+ lbs, chassis should hold it. the main frame is 8 inch C-channel, kinds crazy how it is built

Hey Red, are you still in contact with the guy you got your motors from? i tried contacting him but got no response. i am still trying to find a motor.
thanks

Yep! He's on this forum, I'm not sure if he's still doing it, so I don't want to 'out' him without his permission, but he will see this. I'll let him respond or PM.
