Default Cummins in Superduty ???'s

First time posting on here... I have a decision to make about my truck this week. I have a 2006 F350 powerstroke which just decided to spin a couple main bearings and come apart on me. My choices are put in another 6.0 and sale the truck and buy a Dodge 04-07 model OR swap in a CR 5.9 and keep the Ford.

What actually is needed as far as extra/special parts for the 5.9 conversion if I have access to a 2005 Dodge as a donor truck? I know the adapter plate and pcs for the trans....if this can be done at decent cost I actually prefer the Ford...but have grown to hate the Ford diesels.

Thanks for your input and help as I need to make a decision soon to get this truck back on the road!

Money is the big factor here. It would be cheaper in the long run to sell the Ford and buy the Dodge, but on the other hand a 5.9 CR in a Ford body would be cool. However, be prepared for a lot of work and dumping alot of money into it to make it work. In most conversions it's not the big stuff that gets you, it's the small stuff that nickels and dimes you to death. You need to decide if you are willing to put all that time and money into it to make it work and if it will be worth it.

money matters a lot, if you have that much sufficient amount then you may simply turn up the purchasing idea, otherwise remain ideal as long as you could...

I suppose buying a new truck is better. Old ones always have maintenance problem..
