4bt in a 97 dakota 2wd
I have a dakota that needs some work engine and exhaust trans has some issues too
so how about a 4bt with a nv4500 then i can keep my manual and the issues of the tired motor will be gone
has any one done this it is a 2wd manual right now want to keep it manual and 2wd should be an easy swap

The only Diesel conversion I've done was my son's "Da Beast" 6bt/4500 RamCharger. There are a lot of people around who will tell you that the 4bt is rattly and rough, and will ruin your vehicle, your spine, and your love for driving.
That being said, however, I'd still like to build a Bronco, or a Bronco II, or Blazer with one in it, as a beach/desert crawler. Or, just score a CUCV with a tired 6.2 and squeeze a 6BT into it.

yea they might be a little rattly but if you use liquid filled motor mounts that is the key I guess i will find out
I have found that the engine trans combo that had the ford tranny behind it you can swap any small bock ford tranny
what is the thought of a t5 tremic do you all think it would handle a stock 4bt
i would like to use the stock dodge dakota tranny but to do that i need an adapter plate and I cant seem to find one for that
