Ive driven a few internationals with dt466 and 10 speeds and I realy think it would be awesome to convert our tow rig to a 10 speed its a 98 2wd 12v ext cab dually 5peed . Did they ever mount a 10 speed to a 5.9 in any industrial apps. Would it even fit under the truck? could the spliter be converted to electric or do I need air? what would be my options for a clutch the track already has a south bend single. I seen a chevy on youtube that had a 10 speed so it has to be possible I just dont know what it takes

I know your gonna need a air compressor, some adaptors, shorter drive shaft, and modify the crossmember on the trans.. I thought it would be badass in my 06 till i really got into it so I'm just gonna go with a g56 swap

I've seen it done before or at least half way finished. You need a sae flywheel housing and a flywheel that will accommodate the clutch and pilot bearing you will use, I reccomend a body lift so you won't have to hack as much of the floor out of it, you will have some issues with figuring out a clutch pedal. You could probably put 2.73:1 gears in it as low as it is geared in low range, the splitter will need air.

do you think a motor air pump would be better or just a warn air comp? we have a ford box truck with a motor driven pump. A body lift would accomidate some nice 19.5s as well. It shouldnt matter that its a 2wd as far as the body lift goes right
