Default smarty ssr defuel

So im running ssr on my 04.5 pulling truck and on the dyno and on the track it falls on its face at 3600 rpm or so. Will udc fuel past 4k rpms? When will it be out? I want to pull at scheid diesel extravaganza but i might as well leave the truck at home if i dont get something to fuel past 4k. I might just get a standalone and forget bob and marco. I dont understand why in the last update they allow you to select your desired rev limiter up to 6000 rpms when you dont make power past 3700. Any thoughts on this?

if you have a stock cam in it still then your falling off the back of the cam. are you logging it in any way to see that the actual mm3 or pluse us is actually defueling or are you just seeing the graph fall off?

I dont have any tools to data log mm3's. The stock cam is in it for now. When it gets above 3600 or so the smoke clears up and it wont pull any higher. Rail pressure is in check and so is supply pressure.

Just got an email back from Mads. Under load it will have a different limiter and they are working on it. They also do not have a release date for udc.

i know alot of guys have logged the SSR and they all say that it does not full fuel all the way to 4k but also with the stock cam your still going to see it fall off up there. i have a friend whos pulling truck we tuned with EFI and we are getting full fuel to 4300 on it but because its a stock cam (work stock puller) he still looses over 150hp beyond 3600rpm.

I am planning on a cam but im going to wait until this winter when i pull the motor. I want to go bigger than a street cam. I was running the truck in 4th gear on the dyno (nv4500) for fear of breaking my mainshaft in fifth again. Running 4th gear it wont even hit more than 3700 and the graph falls straight down.the graph was going up until that point. My charger snuffs out at around 2600 on the track so it makes things tough on me trying to pull. I am switching to 4:56 gears as we speak. Hopefully i can hold 3500 rpm down the track.

everything your saying sounds exactly like an SSR with a stock cam to me. tell me more about the rest of the setup the charger specs and what else you have for fueling tire size and such.

I am running the aurora 5500 2.6 charger. My injectors arent big enough. If i had to guess i would say they are 125-150% over. They are coming out sunday and getting sent back to scheid. 110lb valve springs. Pdi 24valve manifold. Swapped in a nv4500 from a 48re. South bend sfi 3850 double disk. 1480 driveshaft. Putting in 4:56 gears tonight. Yukon spool and bigger shafts in rear. Eaton e locker up front. Interco sts 33-12.50-17. No dual tires yet. Ats twin cp3s air dog 150 soon to be x2.

kinda what i figured big charger stock cam...dosnt work so good when trying to pull a 1:1 gear with 3.73 gears and 33" tires. the 4.56s will help but your going to have to get more air thru the engine also the SSR settings are soooooo sensitive that a very small change can swing the hp by 200 easily.

You are correct. I am not made of money so the truck is a budget build and i have always preached to build the drivetrain first. I about have the drivetrain where i want it. Next years budget will be to build the motor and i think a zeus standalone will be a good investment.
