Default 02 cummins wont start

02 cummins 3500 dwr 4x4 6spd

will not start parked where it sits saturday morning.

on way home from work i heard a tick tick tick sound twice that went away as fast as i heard it. got to the house opened the gate ideled up the drive parked let her cool off and killed it. went to leave when i woke up a few hours later and would not start opened the hood my belt had jumped over a notch on the compressor, idler, and fan pulley. drove a different vehicle saturday. sunday i put the belt back on and try to start but nothing. i can hear the lift pump and im getting fuel to the vp44 when i loosen the line. but nothing when i loosend the #1 cylinder injector line.

HELP i just bought the darn thing FRIDAY! wife and landlord are pissed. wife wants it gone and landlord wants it out of the way it rolled back down from where i parked a bit and is partially blocking the drive. there isnt a programer or anything like that on it that i know of.

thank you

also the truck turns over fine. and i know flame if you like but i almost was late to work today and that is the only reason i tried this but it ran for a split second off a tiny bump of eather

i was in the army and its against my religion to be late for work

Check for codes! Key trick=

Did you actually see fuel coming out? Did you read your FP on a gauge? Or did you just assume because you can hear the LP that it is pumping fuel?
So you have verified that you are getting fuel to the IP?
But no fuel out of the injector lines? Just to make sure, you are cranking the pickup over when looking for fuel coming out of the injector lines correct? If so I would say VP is gone.

i did not see fuel i had my friend helping me he said fuel coming out of line to vp44.
i do not have a gauge yet i got the truck the day before this happened.
yes i would say i have verified as good a possible without a gauge.
yes i was cranking and nothing coming out no fuel what so ever. on that note i called a guy i met thru craigslist who claims to be cummins certified. he says since no fuel what so ever at injectors and it ran drove and idled fine to where i parked it sounds electrical to him.

my ignition is jacked up i cant turn it back and forth like that. i got a pretty reasonable deal on the truck from a buy here pay here place. i walked in with a wad of money. and it had been repo'd from previous owner.

is there any kind of gauge i can get from autozone ect for the time being to check the pressure? in the very near future i will get isspro to match what i have waiting in a box.

sounds like your ac compressor is gone, put a shorter belt on and bypass it. It probably seized up and made the belt jump off.

just put a shorter belt on it, you can run it with no ac. I dont think it will start without a belt!

Default FYI

Here is a diagram for the routes you can take on your belt, bypassing the ac compressor.

I took the belt off and tried to start without it. And it will not start. Went to autozone and paid 400 big ones to rent a scanner and showed no codes. Filter was really bad so I put a new one in. Can't get the plug off the vp44 to check for voltage as described on bluechips website.

OK I followed bluechips tech stuff as close as possible. Got nowhere. Rechecked injectors no fuel to 1, 3,5 injectors. When back and checked fuel to vp and nothing... hope I didn't burn up the VP off bad diagnosis yesterday

I say your LP is gone which in turn killed your IP.

Update. I had a Guy come out tonight and he beat on the lift pump and got it to start. So hopefully I will have an airdog or fads in there in the next few days. And take another stab at it.
