i have a 2000 dodge 3500 cummins 4x4 displaying no ccd and no bus we have replaced the ecm lift pump and the vp 44 the truck will start and run if sprayed with ether the lift pump functions with the key we have traced grounds and connecters i have 4 of these trucks and this is the only one that gives problems this started over a year ago and we parked it now we have got to have it

not sure how much help this will be,
friend of mine had a similar problem on his gas version, read "NO bus" so we figured well obviously it's not..
ok, what he ended up having to do was replace the instrument cluster, nothing in it worked other than the little display. but it did run and drive and he used GPS to figure his speed until the replacement came.

There is no need for the use of ether in modern diesels. It ruins them. If its been parked for a year then you have probably created more problems. For the love of god do not use anymore ether. Is there any other problems besides the no ccd and no bus?

the gauges dont work and will not start unless sprayed have replaced inst cluster it was parked over this problem i started it a few time and drove it this problem wont let trans shift once sprayed it runs fine but still has no bus and ccd

Sounds like you need to find an experienced tech. No offense but the fact you've "thrown" atleast 1000.00 at it without truly diagnosing the problem.
While folks can point you at the general direction of problems on a forum, its all guess work. An experienced tech would be capable of finding and diagnosing virtually any communication issue in a day or less.
