Default Code PO237

Check engine light came on after I removed the XZT+ for an update. Hooked up my Pepboys code reader, code PO237 was displayed, tried to erase, check engine light would blink off then on again and stay on. A message came up saying I needed to repair or the code would remain on. Reattached the XZT+, ran the easer function through the scanner and the light stays off.

Removed the XZT+ because I couldn’t feel a difference in performance no matter where I set the switch. Truck runs great, I get 20+/gal commuting 65-70 miles a day. Even after removing the XZT+ the truck still runs great except the check engine light comes on.

When I tried to update the XZT+, I got a message during the update requesting a JIT (just in time) file, error….

How do I reset everything and remove the XZT+ and reset the check engine light?

Where you trying to download an update directly to the XZT+ or were you uploading a tune to the truck? If you were uploading to the truck you MUST make sure there is no current draw while loading the tune ie. dome light comes on, stereo playing, headlights come on, etc. This will corrupt the tune and can crash your ECM.

I was uploading a saved file from quadzilla, I had saved it to my desktop, attached the chip, and attempted to update the chip. During the update, a screen came up saying that I needed a JIT file, writing a file to a root directory is beyond my computer skills but…willing to learn.

Before reinstalling the chip I used the truck and the check engine light came on, scanned it an got code 0237, tried to erase but light would go off then back on. Message came up on the scanner telling me that I needed to correct the problem before code would shut off.

Check engine light only shut off after reattaching chip.

Regarding shutting down the truck for 24 hours,…….Need the truck

Wrote quadzilla and got a response in one day. The TC was coming up because I had not disconncted the MAP sensor harness. Regarding the update, Quad suggested using a different computer. What I ended up doing was running the update, allowed it to cycle then plugged in the chip. System recognized the chip and updated. New tune is pretty good.

Thanks for the help
