24v pcm and ecm not connecting with scan tool
I have a 2001 Ram 2500 4x4 with a 24v and auto tranny, the only mod is an edge juice w/attitude. It's been shifting late so I took to a local tranny shop. By late I mean that it shifts at a higher rpm then it should. They said physically the tranny looks good and shifts smooth but they can feel the hesitation when it shifts. When they hooked it up the the scan tool they got no response from the pcm or ecm. I was told either they are going bad or they have a bad connection or some sort. Now it's been shifting like this for a little while and it started after I popped the ecm fuse from a license plate light wire shorting on the frame. Not sure if that fried anything in either computers or screwed any connections or if it has anything to do with it at all. I guess my question is if anyone has had this problem before or how I should go about tackling my current problem. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Check all the fuses... maybe the fuse for obdII is blown, although it doesn't say "obdII" in the fusebox it's tied into something else I just can't remember which one it is.

Try it without the EJWA. Disconnect the Juice box, boost sensor wiring, and the CAN connection under the hood. The 3 pin, flat connector from the EJWA connects into the CAN. Problem could be there. If not, I can post pictures of the CAN network connections, and you can go through them.

I was told to check the cig lighter fuse and it was good. And I'll start with disconnecting the edge and go from there. And forgive my ignorance but CAN is an acronym for what? Thanks guys!
