Default ISB 6.7 low power, engine protect light on

'08 Freightliner m2 6.7 isb allison auto two car carrier.

ok my boss is a cheap bastard. he will put as little money as possible into a truck maint and expect it to go 24/7 for 3,000,000 miles. this guy is so stupid that if i buy fuel from the wrong station he gives me **** because they dont have a ulsd sticker on the pump. he thinks the other stations have lsd. i think he is on lsd

ever since i started working for this dummy again two months ago, the engine protect and check engine light go on and off more times in a night then a hookers panties. he let the truck go with a large coolant leak and an intermittant overheat prob for at least two weeks when i first started back again, untill finally they replaced the thermostat, after mistakenly replaceing the water pump and fixed the leak (ya his mechanic has a $40/hr labor rate and you get what you pay for) i have heard the coolant boiling in this engine at least 5 times and i shut it off as soon as the temp shot up. he also let it go for a retardedly long time with a hole in the exhaust ahead of the dpf.

despite all this when he finally fixed this poor truck, it actually still runs good. the check engine and eng protect lights still came on intermittantly and there was a code through the instrument panel ecu 128 pid 101 fail00 which is to do with crank case pressure. but it was not derateing.

well now it is derating. all the time. at wot the turbo is screaming and the engine is not making any power. when you let off the throttle a little bit turbo spools down and you actually gain some power.

does this sound like a derate or is something else wrong? would this code make it derate? the air filter is restricted but i removed it and drove it for a block and it still behaved the same. (ya i know driving it without a filter is stupid, but when i started working for this guy the first time a year ago the filter was in the toolbox instead of the engine for an unknown amount of time. they took it out to stop the truck from overheating for some bizaare reason)

i asked him if he has ever changed the crankcase filter and his reponse was "what crankcase filter?" truck has over 320,000 hard km on it (and so does the filter apparently)

cummins does make a strong engine tho. i cant believe it has not granaded he was bitching about spending $5000 on a duramax from a wrecking yard that scattered a while ago. bet an isb is more!!
